We can learn about composition. We can see a different perspective in Georgia O' Keeffe's art work. We can learn about Georgia O'Keeffe and why she made the art that she created. We can relax and de-stress through designing zentangle patterns in our work. We can use a viewfinder to find the perfect composition.
November/December 2016-January 2017
We can train our eyes to observe like artists. We can draw exactly what we see. We can become better artists by doing drawing warm-up activities. We can compose a composition. We can use a grid to enlarge drawing. We can attract the eye to a certain point in our picture (focal point) by using color and placement. We can assess our peers and give them feedback on how they could make their art even better than it already is!
We can paint showing shadows and highlights.
February-March
We can construct a stable three-dimensional masks. We can create balance by using symmetry. We can learn about other cultures. We can use paper mache and include pattern and designs in our masks.
April-May 2017
We can create a 3-D mini museum including two different types of art (from different art periods) and a sculpture.
May/June 2017
We are currently working on our career self-portrait for our graduation!
