We can find the horizon line in real life and in art work. We can identify the foreground, middle ground and background. We know that things appear larger when they are in the foreground and smaller when they are in the background. We can identify warm colors. (works in progress) We can look deeper into art work. We can create a story with details based on what we see in our own artwork.

We can identify Pablo Picasso's bye, rose and cubist periods of art making. We can create a painting that reflects the characteristics seem in the Cubist movement. We can create a Cubist still life with acrylic paint and review color value. We can draw a portrait in the cubist style.
February 2017
We can use color and line to show mood. We can design imaginative figures in a defined space. We can analyze the artwork of Edvard Munch.
March-May 2017
We can use math and engineering as we learn about and build structures. We can use techniques found in Ancient Greek and Roman architecture.
